DAY 1: ARRIVAL AT AMMAN AIRPORT / AMMAN (D)
Arrive Amman Airport where our airport Pan East staff will meet the group at the gate just as they leave the airplane. Full assistance with the visa and customs formalities will be provided at Amman Airport. Leave the Airport for the transfer to Hotel in Amman, and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Buffet Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Amman.
DAY 2: AMMAN / AJLUN RESERVE / JERASH / AMMAN (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at hotel. Drive north to Ajlun Woodland Reserve located in the Ajloun Highlands. It consists of a Mediterranean hill country, dominated by open woodlands of Oak and Pistachio. The rich greenery of Ajloun has made it a popular spot for picnickers and hikers. The area has a long history of human settlements, due to its Mediterranean climate, dense forests, and fertile soil. Enjoy the Rockrose Trail: 8km trail, taking 3-4 hours, passing across heavily wooded valleys and ridges, inside and outside the nature reserve. This highly scenic trail passes through villages and olive orchards and offers beautiful panoramic views to the West Bank and Syria. There is steep scrambles en-route that demands a reasonable level of fitness. Allow you local guide to explain the different types of vegetation as well as the medicinal purposes of the various plants. Picnic Lunch Box Proceed to visit Jerash, which remains today as one of the most beautiful and best-preserved Greco-roman cities outside Italy. Excavations made it possible to update two theatres, several temples, churches, a market, thermal baths, and the famous Cardo Maximus alley of 600 meters bordered columns. Drive back to Hotel in Amman for overnight. Buffet Dinner at Hotel.
DAY 3: AMMAN / MUJIB RESERVE / KARAK / DANA NATURE RESERVE (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the Lowest Nature Reserve on Earth bordering the Dead Sea at 400 meters below sea level, the Mujib Nature Reserve surrounds Wadi Mujib, a deep and majestic canyon that cuts through rugged highlands and drains into the Dead Sea. Visitors will be fascinated by Mujib’s adventurous, solace, and serenity in a true wilderness environment. Enjoy the Siq Trail: takes around 3hours. This is a moderate hike into the main gorge of the Mujib River (the Siq). It starts at the visitor centre near the Mujib Bridge, from where you take the cantilevered walkway over the dam and follow the course of the river between towering sandstone cliffs to the base of a large waterfall. Depending on seasonal rainfall levels, the gorge may contain pools deep enough for swimming. (Please expect to get fully wet, so a change of clothes is a must). Lunch in Mujib Reserve Restaurant. Drive to visit Karak’s Crusaders Castle built in the 12th century AD, which is situated on a hilltop about 1000 meters above sea level and surrounded by a valley on three sides. Proceed to the Dana Nature Reserve for overnight at Rummana Camp. Buffet Dinner at Dana Rummana Camp.
DAY 4: DANA NATURE RESERVE / SHAWBAK / PETRA (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at Rummana Camp. Dana Nature Reserve is truly a world of natural treasures. Visitors to Dana will experience the beauty of Rummana Mountain, the timeless tranquility of Dana Village, and the grandeur of the red and white sandstone cliffs of Wadi Dana. The Dana Village area, overlooking the scenic Wadi Dana, has been occupied since 4000 BC. Enjoy the White Dome Trail: 8 Km trail, taking 3 to 4 hrs. The trail contours the huge escarpments of Wadi Dana between Rummana Camp and Dana Village. It offers breath-taking views of the canyon-like Wadi and passes through the village terraced gardens. Picnic Lunch Box Drive to Shawbak to visit the Crusader Castle. Once called “Mont Real”, Shawbak dates back to the 12th century AD. It is perched on the side of a mountain, with a grand sweep of fruit trees below. Proceed to the greatest city of the Arab nation which existed 2000 years ago: Petra. Buffet Dinner & overnight at Hotel in Petra.
DAY 5: FULL DAY VISIT OF PETRA (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at hotel. Begin your visit by enjoying a walk or a short horse ride from Petra’s main entrance to the entrance of the old city “Al Siq”, which is a 350 meters narrow canyon. As you reach the end of the Siq, the first and greatest monument of Petra slowly comes into view. This is the famous Treasury monument “Al Khazneh”. Petra “The Rose City” is an extraordinary and unique place, which was built by the Arab Nabateans more than 2000 years ago. The Nabateans carved their monumental tombs, palaces, temples and treasury from the desert’s natural rose-colored rocks and sandstones. Indulge yourself, and allow our professional PAN EAST guide to walk you through the architectural and spiritual wonders of this majestic place explaining every detail in sight. Buffet lunch at Basin Restaurant inside Petra. After lunch, the clients who want to go back to the hotel will walk the same way. After lunch, the clients interested to visit the Monastery will climb 800 steps to visit the Monastery. The Monastery is similar to design to the Treasury, but it is much larger (50 m high x 45m wide) and much less decorated. The facade is flat on the lower level and deeply carved on the upper level, with engaged columns and two half-pediments flanking a central urn (10m high). Drive back to Hotel in Petra for Buffet Dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: PETRA / WADI RUM (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at hotel. Depart to the Natural Resort of Wadi Rum “The Valley of the Moon” a unique place unlike anywhere else you have ever visited. Arrive at the village of Rum to explore this splendid desert with the local Bedouins. They will drive you with their 4×4 Bedouin Pick Up Trucks for 5-6 hours visiting the following places, Lawrence Spring, Red Sand Dunes, Khazali Canyon and inscription, Little Bridge, Lawrence House, Um Fruth Rock Bridge, Burdah Rock Bridge, Barrah Canyon for trekking and Sun Set Area. Picnic Lunch Box Buffet Dinner & overnight at a Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum.
DAY 7: WADI RUM / DEAD SEA / AMMAN (B, L, D)
Buffet Breakfast at Camp. Drive via Wadi Araba Road to the Dead Sea the lowest spot on earth 400 meters below sea level. Spend the day sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing in the gently lapping waters of the Dead Sea and be amazed that you can never sink! Treat yourself to a soothing massage, or try the well-known healing powers of minerals from the sea’s muddy floor. Enjoy Lunch at the Dead Sea. Proceed to Amman for Buffet Dinner & overnight at hotel.
DAY 8: TRANSFER TO AMMAN AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE (B)
Buffet Breakfast at hotel Transfer to Amman Airport for departure including meeting and assistance during formalities.
